Llandrindod Wells Golf Course was designed by six times open champion Harry Vardon and altered some years later by James Braid, to produce a superb course of 18 holes, almost 5800 yards in length (par 69). Sitting on the hill above the town, it affords spectacular views as you play. There is an open week Festival of Golf in the first week of June. Visitors are welcome.

The Griffin-Lloyd shooting ground offers a wide variety of clay target shooting facilities to suit your needs whether you are an expert shot or a complete novice. Open seven days a week for practice and tuition by fully qualified instructors.
Phil Price's Rally School is 15 miles away at Llangunllo. The rally stages were specifically designed by Phil and used by club men and top world rally teams for pre-event practice and testing. The School offers a day’s course in Rally driving for complete beginners - it is great fun and you get the ride of your life!

A 40 minute drive away is Llyn Clywedog Reservoir with stunning scenery. Regularly stocked. Permits available (Bank and Boat) from Woosnam & Davies (Newsagents), 40-41 Longbridge Street, Llanidloes. Controlled by: Llanidloes & District Angling Association.
Spring Rock Fishery, Llandegley. The lake is roughly 2.5 acres in size and is fully designed underneath, jammed packed with features such as plato's gravel bars and pits. It is stocked with carp up to 24lb consisting of mirrors, commons, crucians, ghosts and koi.
Hereford and Ludlow are our closest racecourses with both Flat and National Hunt racing. There are numerous point to points in the area throughout the season.
Trotting is popular and the nearest meeting is at Penybont with several other courses within easy reach.
Llandrindod Wells Bowling Club is the largest bowling club in Wales. There are 3 greens of international standard catering for all levels of competition. A major venue, the club is host to national, international and county bowling events throughout the season, as well as club competition.
